The board has decided on the implementation of the Design Requirements of the Xeriscape Policy, which prohibits extensive areas with a desert or barren appearance, or with plain dirt or gravel/rock hardscape. We are interpreting any patch of dirt larger than 36” x 36” with less than 20% vegetation and any yard containing less than 60% vegetation to be in violation. A violation notice will be sent to owners of homes whose front yards and visible side yards contain any patch of dirt larger than 36” x 36” with less than 20% vegetation or if the entire yard has less than 60% vegetaion. The owner will have three months to submit a plan to remedy this situation, and six months to complete it. If the completion date falls in the winter, completion date shall be by the following April.
We have a private facebook group we'd love you to join. We thought it'd be nice to have a place where we could get to know each other as neighbors and friends. A place where we can share stories and/or photos (about people and pets), receipes, plantings, talk about an event or even ask advice. We look forward to your posts!
